MistoHub is an innovative project for the development of Poltava’s public, cultural, and business environment created thanks to the investments of its residents.
Since the outbreak of the full-scale war, the city has not only performed an important “rear” function, but also served as a new home for many people affected by the consequences of the war. The main goal of MistoHub is to become a grant foundation for implementing citizen projects.
“During the reporting period, MistoHub turned into the city’s main event venue and managed to attract a significant number of investors via expanded and enhanced fundraising. Given the forced pause in planned activities due to the war, the team’s potential to achieve greater results was not fully utilized. Still, we plan to resume our work now and, despite the difficult circumstances, continue to build a physical space while ensuring the coordination of the volunteer association in Poltava,” Natalia Barannyk, Head of the Fundraising Direction, explains.
Within the grant project, the MistoHub team managed to unite representatives of the public sector, the business community, and the creative sector, as well as youth and authorities. MistoHub became the first local project in Poltava to successfully attract impact investments. The organization also managed to create a basis for a community capable of influencing and changing existing urban environment (deputies from different parties, local companies, individual experts, and opinion leaders).
MistoHub is a place for everyone. It is a space for open events, a cafe, an exhibition area, a market of local producers, and a bookstore, with its profits directed to implementing the ideas of Poltava residents.
