Support in Times of War: Women’s Club “I Am Happy Club”

The women’s club “I Am Happy Club” had a branch in Kherson with offline meetings held regularly. However, things got complicated with the outbreak of the full-scale invasion, while its operation got virtually impossible: Some participants left their homes, and some stayed in Kherson, fighting for their lives and their right to live at home.

“It was specifically for women — divided by the war into those who left and those who stayed under occupation — that our team decided to revive the club as a ‘haven’ of support for women’s energy,” says Lidiia Dibrova, psychologist and moderator of online meetings of the women’s club Support in Times of War: Women’s Club “I Am Happy Club”.

Four online meetings have already been held within the women’s club, focusing on health and beauty, financial well-being, and emotional healing. Each meeting brings together 12 to 17 women, and with each session, it takes longer for everyone to share their thoughts. This support is important.

The career counselor of the women’s club has already held three sessions on CV writing and reviewing the career paths the women had been on before the war. Together, they are seeking new directions, reflecting on their past experiences, analyzing the knowledge they have gained, and compiling it into a portfolio.

The women’s club continues its activities to support and assist its members.
