Previously, systemic changes in the field of adult oncology, informational and emotional support for cancer patients, and cancer education were the main areas of the organization’s work.
The charity foundation “Inspiration Family” is one of the winners of the grant competition “Supporting the Work of Non-Profit Organizations in Times of War” from Zagoriy Foundation.
What has the foundation been doing since February 24? It has turned into a coordination headquarters that:
— coordinates and consults cancer patients undergoing treatment in Ukraine (provides information on the services that the state pays for, the drugs purchased with state funds and how to check their availability in hospitals, and which cancer centers are operating);
— helps find treatment abroad for cancer patients unable to continue it in Ukraine;
— searches for and provides humanitarian aid to cancer centers.
What has the CF already done since the full-scale war outbreak?
— processed 1,200+ requests;
— helped more than 120 people to receive treatment abroad;
— translated documents for 80+ patients;
— arranged consultations with Ukraine’s doctors for 30+ patients.
Requests come in daily. Results for the month:
— 36+ patients received consultations on treatment in Ukraine;
— 28+ patients received consultations on treatment abroad;
— 15+ patients were referred for treatment abroad in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
