The NGO began its journey in 2010 in Kharkiv region to form a community of entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses.
The outbreak of the full-scale invasion made the Association of Private Employers adjust its activities, with its focus shifting to humanitarian assistance to people affected by the war.
“Our main principle of working with humanitarian aid is that we provide support rather than maintenance,” project manager Nataliya Bondarenko explains.
In its project report, the organization notes that everyone registered for assistance receives food kits every 3–4 weeks. In addition to humanitarian kits, the Association of Private Employers provides its beneficiaries with clothing, especially in winter, since many displaced people have lost their property.
“We offered medicines, medical supplies, and medical devices to those who needed them. For instance, we provided the elderly with tonometers,” Nataliya comments.
In total, the project covered 15,070 beneficiaries.
Thanks to the support of Zagoriy Foundation, the organization enhanced volunteers’ knowledge and skills in providing primary psychological assistance.
Currently, the Association of Private Employers offers the following courses:
— Psychology Basics;
— Explosives Identifiers;
— Grant writing and Project Management.
“The project had a significant positive impact on the development of our activities, increasing the expertise of both the project team and the organization as a whole,” Nataliya notes.
