“Direct Dialogue” from SOS Children’s Villages

The international charity organization “Charity Foundation ‘SOS Children’s Villages’ Ukraine” — with its project “Communication Support for the Launch of an Innovative Model of Resource Attraction” — was one of the winners of the grant competition “New Approaches to Communicating Charitable Projects.”

The foundation’s project aimed at implementing the face-to-face fundraising model, i.e., Direct Dialogue, which had been virtually non-existent in Ukraine until then. Face-to-face fundraisers worked for two months in 10 locations in Kyiv, communicating and attracting people to subscribe to regular donations to the foundation.

What are the Results?

During their work, face-to-face fundraisers held 8,000+ dialogues with the public and involved 335 regular donors. Importantly, before the project’s launch, the foundation had only 35 regular donors.

During the six months of the project’s implementation, UAH 370,605 of charitable donations were raised.

For six months, these contributions from regular donors will ensure weekly individual consultations with a psychologist for 167 children from foster families and vulnerable families, which will improve their psycho-emotional condition.
