The Information Front: NGO “Dostupno.UA”

From the very first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the NGO “Dostupno.UA” became a platform that informed people with disabilities how to get help and support during the war. The organization refocused its activities on providing timely information and coordinating people with disabilities regarding various opportunities. Contacts were established in Poland, Sweden, and Germany with organizations and volunteers who assisted in finding housing, coordinated, and supported people on the ground.

Thanks to the information provided by Dostupno.UA, many Ukrainians with disabilities have managed to evacuate to the west of Ukraine or abroad.

Some Ukrainians with disabilities are also afraid to leave their homes because of uncertainty: How to evacuate, who will help them, and will they be welcomed abroad?

That is why we consider providing sufficient information support to our beneficiaries to be our primary task during the war.

This information campaign is implemented with grant support from Zagoriy Foundation.

During the start of the information project, seven materials for people with disabilities were published:

What kind of assistance can families with children with disabilities receive?

— Where can people with disabilities get complex rehabilitation?

What kind of financial assistance can Ukrainians receive during the war?

Urgent rehabilitation aid for people with disabilities;

Evacuation of people with disabilities from the hot spots in Donetsk region;

Is a medical examination to prove disability needed during wartime?

It is now easier for people with disabilities to obtain the necessary documents to cross the Ukrainian border.

We keep working together for our shared victory!
