Supporting Beneficiaries: NGO “See With Your Heart”

Before the full-scale invasion, the NGO “See With Your Heart” promoted accessibility, encouraged an active lifestyle, and changed the society’s stereotype regarding people with disabilities.

In the first days of the invasion, our team was in limbo, and everything looked a bit chaotic. Ten days later, we decided that it was time to act. The organization was enthusiastically processing information on evacuation, humanitarian assistance, and financial support while collecting donations for the military. We spent the whole spring doing that.

The organization’s primary beneficiaries are people with disabilities.

In summer, the NGO“See With Your Heart” launched two online camps for teenagers and the youth. The program ran the whole summer, until August 20, and everyone from any country could join in. The camp offered theme days, parties, and workshops and invited interesting guests. One of our main goals was to do everything to save the summer of 2022 for our children.

The NGO has also developed an online supervision project for parents who raise children with developmental disorders. The initiative has grown into a comprehensive program that provides holistic support to families. We created a system to meet current needs — including individual work with a family counselor, expert consultations upon request, and training sessions designed to strengthen parenting skills; moreover, we resumed weekly online meetings with interesting speakers.

The online projects were made possible thanks to the grant support from Zagoriy Foundation.

The organization also operates a psychological hub, which currently runs 24/7 due to numerous requests for help.

In July alone, 35 teenagers with complex developmental disorders joined the camp, and 46 sessions were held.

In addition, there were 60 sessions for young people with complex developmental disorders, and 45 people participated.

The work continues!
